What can we expect from Ben's show?

You've been looking for wildly unique entertainment for your next event - now you've found it. Ben's the feller to pull it off. Acoustic music that's western to the core and with a heaping plate of clean rural humour, Ben's show covers a wide range of both traditional and original material interspersed with stories that allow only the bravest to peek inside the same mind that brought the world one of Leanin' Tree's top-selling images, the Salt Lick. Skillfully blended his art with his music, screen-projected images of his artwork flash while he performs songs he wrote to accompany them. Even some of the revered cowboy classics have fallen victim to his twisted mind; his cartoon artwork contorts your brain as it gives words and phrases a whole new meaning to an otherwise harmless song.

Hugh McLennan, host of the Spirit Of The West syndicated radio show says "Ben Crane never fails to deliver with off the wall humour, clever concepts and some memorable serious songs that reach deeply into the heart of everyone who loves the west".

Rob Tanner, publisher of Canadian Cowboy Country Magazine wrote "Ben and Jake are first and foremost a gifted duo of musicians who will have you off your seats and dancing in the aisles in one breath, and in the next take you back to simpler times with a string of western melodies. Sprinkle in Ben’s unique humour and take on life and you have an evening you’ll not soon forget!"

Bryan Hill, Executive Producer of CBC radio's Madly Off In All Directions sums it up with "You don’t often work with great talent the first time and feel as if you’ve known them all along. Ben brings wit, warmth and a professionalism that is rare. If you want a guaranteed performance with great music, great chat and a great guy…book Ben."

Ben's format is flexible; he's available as a solo act or duo - whatever your budget allows. Full of clean rural humour, Ben's shows are suitable for a wide range of audiences, relating to both agriculturally savvy folks and those who wish they were. And it's even safe for the whole family; leaving you with a unique experience of western life you won't soon forget, try as you may.

Contact him for rates and availability, and visit his schedule page to see when you might be able to fit him in while he's coming through your area.
