Perhaps most notorious for his work with Leanin' Tree greeting cards, Ben's work has been used to help illustrate books, magazines and a wide variety of other projects.
Ben's illustration style is decidedly cartoon, often slathered with a healthy dose of realism, which pretty much mirrors his view on life. Although best-known for his western themes, he does sneak out of that corral on occasion and try other walks of life.
His work for publication is now done solely digital, with Adobe PhotoShop and a Wacom tablet being his tools of choice.
His recent work on the childrens book Little Chief And Mighty Gopher: The Pemmican Frenzy landed several awards, including Moonbeam, Griffin, Nautilus and the Alberta Book Award.
